Insight Global HVAC Mechanic in Saint Louis, Missouri

Job Description

A higher education client in the St. Louis area is looking for an experienced HVAC Technician to join their facilities department. This individual will work on a team of 10-15 individuals to complete various work orders on the university's campus. At the worksite, this individual will be maintaining and repairing building loops, pumps, heat exchangers, and forced air components while also troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems including hydronic, heat pumps, DX, large air handlers, roof top units, CRAC, packaged and split systems, makeup and fresh air systems, and exhaust. This individual must have five or more years of applicable experience in the commercial space, obtained a certification from an accredited program, the ability to provide their own basic hand tools, eagerness to learn, and great communication and people skills.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems, specific to commercial properties

Educational background requires a certification from a technical school/accredited program OR an experienced Journeyman

Must have the ability to repair and maintain building loops, pumps, heat exchanges, and forced air components

Effective troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems such as hydronic, heat pumps, DX, large air handlers, roof top units, CRAC, packaged and split systems, makeup and fresh air systems, and exhaust

Great people and communication skills as well as the eagerness and drive to be a go-getter

Must acquire and provide basic hand tools (hammer, screwdriver, etc)

Ability to work onsite Monday-Friday from 7:45am-4:15pm Bachelors Degree

Member of Facility Management Professional Association (FMP)

BAS Systems experience (Trane Tracer or JCI preferred)

Experience with VFDs or PLCs null
