Position Summary

The Finance & Controllership Team supports all required financial and management reporting, execution and delivery of the commercial strategy for commercial unit in France. It also helps manage the unit’s operations through the provision of financial management, analysis and decision support.

The Accounts Receivable and Trade Investments Analyst is a critical member of this team ensuring the timely collection of Accounts Receivable balances according to agreed payment terms including follow up and resolution of overdue receivables for France Domestic Customers. The role also makes sure that all relevant AR reporting requirements including working capital management objectives are met. Accuracy and attention to detail is critical.

The position reports to Accounts Receivable and Trade Investments Analyst France (Guylain Moanda, based in Rueil- Malmaison, France) as part of Accounts Receivable and Customer Master Data Team supporting the EMEA entities.

The wider team includes another Accounts Receivable Analyst France, Customer Master Data Administrator France as well as EMEA Senior Accounts Receivable and Trade Investments Controllership Manager, Accounts Receivable Analysts and Master Data Administrators all based across the EMEA supporting the Europe SAP entities.

Working with EMEA Controllership, France Business Finance Team, France Commercial Teams and Customer Supply Chain Teams to ensure that the business is provided with appropriate Controllership support as well as all corporate processes are executed and business targets are achieved.


  • Cash Collection – Ensure the timely collection of all Accounts Receivable balances according to agreed payment terms.

  • Customer Dunning & Statements – Produce dunning reminder letters where needed and ensure customer statements are provided to those requiring them.

  • Cash Allocation – Process cash receipts against the customer sub ledger in SAP including separating customer deductions related to Trade Investments or other customer claims

  • Cash Allocation and Deduction Processing - Ensure that all customer deduction claims are supported by appropriate detail such as Trade Investment invoices, debit notes or other customer correspondence to enable appropriate commercial approval. Work with the commercial team to resolve unauthorized deductions with customers. Clear deduction related unallocated cash against approved customer deduction entries processed by Customer Services.

  • Doubtful Debt Provision Support – Undertake regular reviews of aged past dues and reporting of problem customer accounts. Liaison with EMEA Credit Manager, France Commercial Team and the Shared Services Centre (SSC) to ensure provisions for all doubtful debt exposures are recognized in a timely manner and that appropriate supporting documentation is available for audit purposes

  • Customer Credit Management – Assist the EMEA Credit Manager with annual, new customer and periodic reviews of financial data to assess whether credit limits assigned to customers are still appropriate

  • Trade Investment Management - Initiating and managing Trade Investments approval flow, timely executing Settlements for contractual and discretionary Trade Investments spend, and working closely with the Accounts Receivable and Master data Team to process customer deductions

  • Create new InfoPath for Trade Investments invoices approval.

  • Trade Investments Reporting - detailed involvement in Balance Sheet reconciliations, reporting Trade Investment Accrual balances and identifying required adjustments for Controllership at period end.

  • Processes and Systems – Review and develop existing systems, tools and processes to ensure; Internal Controls are effective, the integrity of financial information, and that services provided to the business are efficient and cost effective

  • Team - Work collaboratively with Finance & Controllership regional and global management to support corporate Accounts Receivable initiatives. Proactively participate in the sharing of new/innovative practices that enhances efficiency and effectiveness
