Mercy Imaging Centers, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, provides cutting-edge diagnostic imaging services at 16 locations in the greater Sacramento and Woodland areas. Our team of 160 staff members work with our specialty trained and board certified radiologists to provide high quality care to our patients. The locations perform more than 175,000 exams annually with the goal of providing top quality imaging, compassionate care, and timely service with a smile.
The Manager, Imaging Operations is expected to provide visionary leadership to maximize the effectiveness of all service delivery systems, financial performance. Engages staff and cultivates an imaging center culture that prioritizes humankindness and patient-centric care consistent with Dignity Health and the medical group's "way" and culture. Effectively manages all operational aspects of the assigned imaging center(s). Works closely with staff and providers to ensure that all fiduciary and imaging center goals are met. Proactively determines workload priorities through planning, coordination and managing staff and providers to meet the imaging center's administrative, operational and support requirements.
The Manager, Imaging Operations has a responsibility to safeguard patient health and financial information.
Minimum of five (5) years of management experience.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead productive, engaged teams and work with providers.
Knowledge of business and management principles, budget control and accounting principles, including capital budgeting, cost accounting, professional and patient billing; and ability to apply these principles to a health care environment.
Knowledge of or ability to learn the budgeting process, management reports, accounting, purchasing and patient billing systems.
Knowledge of computers, systems and software, including word processing, spreadsheet, data base, clinic information systems, electronic medical records, billing systems, and other application packages.
Health insurance knowledge of HMO, PPO and capitated risk plan contracts as they relate to providers and practices.
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or healthcare administration or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Ability to be flexible to maintain continuity of programs while considering individual staff needs and goals. Ability to work effectively and independently under pressure with a minimum of direction. Ability to understand and implement the requirements of providing patient care within a highly regulated and constantly changing environment. Ability to understand health care issues within a broad perspective and to apply these issues to the care center setting.
Previous out-patient practice & healthcare management experience.
Previous management experience in a union environment.
Prior managed care or integrated delivery systems experience.
Master's degree in business, finance or healthcare administration or related field.
