Title : Portfolio Coordinator
Preferred Location : Norfolk VA
Alternate locations: Richmond VA / Roanoke VA / Indianapolis IN.
The incumbent will be responsible for managing at least 30 -50 active initiatives over 11 teams so collaboration, prioritization and budgeting are very important aspect of this role. Additionally will also be responsible for organizing a series of work into a single portfolio consisting of reports that capture project objectives, costs, timelines, accomplishments, resources, risks and other critical factor project delivery and budget forecasting on a short, medium and long term basis based. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Assists in budget planning and interacts with business partners to organize projects and ensure project objectives are met and budget aligns with IT budget objectives.
Provides strategic planning analysis to direct IT senior management team concerning staffing and procurement needs.
Reviews business project proposal or plan to determine funding approaches, time frame, funding limitations for accomplishing business project portfolio objectives.
Coordinates and responds to annual plan of record project changes from original plan of record.
Participates in and monitors annual budget forecasting process. Assists with portfolio activities and resolving service delivery, project and budget issues reported by business partners.
Must have the ability to strategically think, collaborate and prioritize.
Must have experience in budgeting and monitoring detailed budget plans.
- Requires BA/BS degree in related field and 3+ years professional project management experience with 2 years spent leading and directing project tasks; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Multiple trade certifications or other continuing education preferred. Accounting, financial management background preferred.
