Aston Carter is partnering with a rapidly growing company in the KCMO area that is seeking to add a Senior Accountant to their team! They are seeking candidates with a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, experience within the manufacturing industry, and the ability to handle complex accounting issues. Job Description:

• Maintains financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts

• Prepares journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and assisting with monthly close processes

• Contributes to a timely month end close by helping prepare financial statements and reports

• Responds to information requests and reviewing financial statements

• Maintains relationships with employees in other departments to fully understand actuals

• Gathers information and data for outside auditors and tax professionals

• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information

• Performs research regarding tax and accounting for new business initiatives and projects

• Conducts Ad-hoc projects to support departments across the organization from an accounting perspective

• Supports data analysis and integration across software platforms

• Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends

• Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar is required.

• Accounting experience within the manufacturing industry is required

• 3-4+ years of relevant accounting experience

• Cost Accounting experience preferred but not required
