General Electric Lead Engineer - Customer Project Engineering in Richmond, Virginia
Job Description Summary
As a member of the Project Engineering Management team, you will be an active contributor to the preparation and execution of complex Generator projects like rewinds or main component replacements. This role will require you to manage and lead the complete project engineering teams including engineering subcontractors and internal as well as external interfaces to provide the required engineering documentation within the time schedule, with the required quality, with minimum changes whilst meeting the budget targets.

You have experience with Generator Engineering / Technology and Customer Project Engineering, procurement and construction processes as well as Generator maintenance or projects at site.
Your Role:
In charge of the Engineering “On-Time Delivery” (OTD)
Is responsible together with the Compliance Team for Contractual Engineering compliance
Is responsible for the approval cycle of contractual Engineering documentation
Provide inputs for Engineering section in regular Project Review Reporting
Is responsible for Engineering Project budget management with Project cost controller
Is responsible for Engineering Design Reviews and owns action items
Is ensuring Risk Management tracking and escalation as needed
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in an Engineering discipline or extensive experience in the field of Engineering Coordination within the power generation industry
5+ years of professional experience in Generator Engineering / Technology and Customer Project Engineering, procurement and construction processes as well as Generator maintenance or projects at site.
Desired Qualifications:
Extensive experience of successful delivery in an engineering environment including leading teams of engineers and other disciplines.
Deep technical knowledge and experience of generators, operation, and the supply chain interface.
The salary range for this position is $93,600.00 - $124,800.00 USD Annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. Available benefits include Health and Retirement.
