At Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. Our team is seeking an experienced TRU Program Activity Manager to lead the establishment a WIPP Compliant TRU Waste certification and shipping program for the Hanford Site. If you are a proven leader with experience managing TRU waste program activities, we want to talk to you! A day in the life of a TRU Program Activity Manager may involve, but not limited to the following: * Lead the integration of CPCCo activities with the WIPP Central Characterization Program (CCP) and their subcontractors. * Ensure the effectiveness and timely implementation of a waste certification program including waste characterization, non-destructive examination, management of documentation and records, training and qualification of personnel. * Ensure that CPCCo is fully prepared to meet agreed shipping schedules. * Oversee the development and execution of assessments of the TRU Program, site generators, and waste management processes to establish and implement improvements to ensure that waste is packaged consistent with WIPP requirements. * Manage the development and consolidation of Acceptable Knowledge (AK) waste stream reports for Hanford's TRU waste. * Lead the preparation of and participate in CBFO generator site technical review (GSTR) of the Hanford TRU Program. * Coordinate with the National TRU Program (NTP) performance demonstration program (PDP) to restart required annual PDP tests. * Oversee, mentor, and providing direction for staff in the management of Hanford's TRU waste. * Working with staff to identify, develop, and implement processes improvements. * Coordinating and leading discussions with CPCCo, client, CBFO and regulatory agencies communicating the progress of, and issues associated with the TRU waste program. Basic Qualifications * Principal Grade 22: Bachelor's or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 12 or more years of relevant experience. * Expert Grade 23: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 14 or more years of relevant experience. The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience. Desired Qualifications * Recent Experience in overseeing the characterization and shipment of TRU waste to WIPP. * Project Management experience including knowledge of EVMS documentation and reporting requirements. * Thorough understanding of the WIPP waste acceptance criteria (WAC) and implementing documents.
