The Senior Financial Analyst will act as the “Finance Business Partner” to their respective division, developing a strong relationship with the Divisional President and departmental leaders to drive profit and operations through value-add analytical and strategic analysis. The individual will play a major role in being the conduit between the long-term corporate strategies and objectives for Stanley Martin Homes and the development and execution of those strategies operationally through financial forecasting, financial analysis, system understanding, and relationship building.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide value-add analytical support in response to wide variety of critical business issues

• Work with other division analysts to standardize and collaborate on the best practices for communication and process

• Direct and take ownership of all aspects of the monthly forecasting and annual business plan to assist leadership in decision making

• Review, analyze and monitor divisional financial statements, key performance metrics, and operational trends to better assist leadership in driving performance

• Work with the corporate FP&A team to ensure all divisional inputs are accurate for the consolidated business plan

• Work with the accounting team to investigate any unusual variances or results

• Build relationships with members of divisional team and corporate teams to streamline communication and act as an advisor to solve problems and communicate relevant information

• Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations

• Increase productivity by developing automated applications; eliminating duplications; coordinating information requirements

• Support Regional and Division president with any research projects related to their operations

• Due Diligence and Integration of M&A

• Complete all other duties as assigned by manager

• Represent the company professionally in all internal and external interactions

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; MBA, CPA, CFA are a plus

• 2+ years of strong experience in financial analysis and/or reporting role

• Experience with BI and Visualization Tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) a plus

• Strong knowledge of MS Office with Proficiency in Excel
