Small Medium Corporate(SMC) Finance has an opening for a Senior Finance Manager for financial management of Microsoft scale business.

Microsoft is transforming the way our customers are doing business by providing an innovative platform that enables developers to quickly build, deploy and manage applications across a global network of datacenters.This platform of cloud services and private cloud solutions will allow customers to be more agile, cost efficient, and scale to their needs. SMC support a managed and unmanaged business that leverage Digital Sales and partners to support customers from large to small. Cloud companies are looking at new way to engage and nurture customers through Digital engagement to face to face. The SMC sales org is evolving to leverage technology and AI to help serve customers at the right time and their preferred engagement to provide a better customer experience at scale. Digital Sales and SMC is one of the fastest growing teams and one of the top priorities for Microsoft as we make the biggest commercial sales org change.

SMC Finance team

Our finance team is responsible for driving key business insights and planning for SMC organization from P&L management, revenue, business planning, and investments. This role covers Microsoft mid to small size customers. This is an unique finance opportunity to join a team when the business is early in its lifecycle. This is an opportunity to gain broad visibility to the operational and business where Microsoft is shifting to a Digital Sales model to nurture our customer through a digital experience.

Role Summary

SMC Finance is looking for a motivated individual to help shape the financial framework to support the fast-growing business. You will be working to set up business processes and developing financial models to develop new businesses or new sales models. Our expectation is that the finance team takes a balanced approach that equally challenges and supports business partners. A strong candidate will have a track record of: 1) impacting and influencing business decisions and demonstrate strong communication skills, 2) will be a resourceful, fact-based thinker with very strong analytical and business skills, 3)will have demonstrated abilities to develop insightful financial analysis.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the health of the business, identify performance gaps and effectively influence business partners to take actions to remediate

  • Create new analysis and models to help drive improved productivity of the existing sales models

  • Drive a financial frameworkto help support business planning and future projects for SMC

  • Deliver presentation and communication content to project manage landing of new business models with finance and business partners

Personal Leadership

  • Deliver your role in a highly collaborative manner that generates buy-in and enthusiasm from your peers, your business counterparts and other stakeholders

  • Participate actively in the relevant Finance community - being an ambassador for finance by contributing insights and learning from others through best practice sharing, peer-to-peer networks and working together to resolve common issues.

  • Drive your own personal learning through maximizing the scope offered by the role and the creation of a focused development plan with specific actions and timelines

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis and reporting, data management as well as project management

  • Ability to prioritize and function well in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.

  • Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously with delivery deadlines.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of levels. Ability to influence without authority.

  • Advanced Excel Skills

  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field. MBA is a plus.

  • 5+ years of work experience in related field
