Help drive the commercial and strategic success of the Real-World Analytics & AI division by managing the pivotal engagement and co-ordination between clients, product management and the software engineering teams.
The role provides program management capabilities, coordinating activities across multiple projects and project managers. The Program Manager will take ultimate responsibility for the delivery and success of multiple client projects, and strategic investment projects. You will oversee a number of project managers, each of which will managing multiple projects. You must provide oversight, direction and action to ensure the success of this broad portfolio of projects and programs. Each of the Project Managers will be facilitating across multiple teams, bridging the gap between product owners and technical leads. You must provide a layer of strategic program management on top of this with the ability to flex capacity and budget as necessary to optimize outcomes. You will provide an essential bridge between agile development processes and more formalized project, schedule, resource, and financial management. Experience and knowledge of blending Scrum methodologies and formal project management is essential in fulfilling this role.
1. Manage Agile Project Managers and enable their success in driving project completion:
Create, track and report on project timelines; act on the status of projects to ensure success.
Ensure project teams and managers are producing and distributing status, tracking and financial reports for internal and external team members and senior management.
Coordinate with other project resources within and outside the organization in order to drive project success for the overall program.
Drive strategic planning across projects in order to optimize overall divisional performance.
Maintain program and project management information and tracking systems.
Meet with team members on a regular basis regarding project tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
Drive excellence within the project management teams.
2.Drive Agile process improvement across multiple projects and programs:
According to the "Inspect & Adapt" principle, you use your technical knowledge to continuously analyse and increase the efficiency of the development processes and project teams.
Ensure project teams and project managers are following the core agile principles.
Remove impediments that would prevent projects from achieving their goals.
Ideally you will have:
Degree educated in a relevant subject
Extensive experience in technical project and/or program management
Demonstrable experience working in agile.
Deep Knowledge Scrum/Agile & Scrum Master certification.
Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics on large-scale programs and projects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including executive communication.
Good problem-solving skills.
Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
The ability to lead from within the team, able to make people follow you.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, managers and clients.
