RedHat Associate Manager, CEE Tooling and Infrastructure in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job summary

The Red Hat Customer Experience and Engagement (CEE) Tooling and Infrastructure team is looking for an Associate Manager to join our leadership team in the U.S. In this role, you will lead a group of technical program and project managers responsible for the critical development and implementation of our newly formed Infrastructure Management team. This team is responsible for identifying, developing, and delivering cloud and hardware solutions to our global support and success organization. As a new part of our organization, you will have the exciting opportunity to continue to build out the team and work with your peers on long-term strategies for automation and tooling integrations.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Provide direction, coaching, and mentoring to increase your team's capabilities and effectiveness, develop their competencies, and ensure they are meeting the goals and expectations of their role

  • Analyze and prioritize new initiatives and efforts

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders while fostering an environment of collaboration, trust, and accountability within and across teams

  • Provide guidance and participate in complex problem-solving and planning with your team

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior management stakeholders across programs and projects supported by your team

  • Advocate for the needs of your stakeholders across various functions at Red Hat

Required skills

  • 3+ years of people management or team lead experience within project or program management or technical support delivery

  • Experience with contemporary project management methodologies like agile, kanban, and scrum

  • Familiarity with cloud technologies like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Compute Engine (GCE), Red Hat OpenStack Platform, Microsoft Azure, VMware, etc.

  • Foundational knowledge and understanding of open source software development processes

  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and Red Hat’s portfolio of offerings

  • Ability to manage remote associates and work within a globally-distributed team

  • Ability to network and establish solid working relationships with your peers and colleagues and guide global programs and operational improvements

  • Ability to develop and maintain solid stakeholder relationships and work toward outcomes that best meet the strategic needs of the business

  • Excellent presentation, persuasion, and relationship-building skills; ability to communicate complex problems in a non-technical and simplified manner

  • Outstanding communications skills in English

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
