We are looking for the right person to implement our engaging concierge service program for our residents, visitors, and business partners. We specialize in assisted living and memory care. Highgate Senior Living\'s mission is to devote ourselves to help each resident live a life of purpose and each of us plays a crucial role in doing so. We operate communities in the western US and are seeking the right Concierge to join our team in creating an environment that promotes a sense of well-being and the feeling of true community in a gracious, homelike setting. This position is full-time and includes serving as the first point-of-contact resource for our residents, visitors, and business partners. As the tone setter for how each person feels about Highgate when they pass through our doors, youll be the one that makes each individual feel respected, important, and welcomed to the community. This position attends to the various needs of our customers, both in person and through the various forms of electronic communication, ensures that the first impression of our community is always favorable, assists with resident events/functions and provides supportive services to our residents and their families.\ \ The successful candidate will be motivated by service, an organized and detail-oriented individual with a positive and self-motivated attitude. You must have strong communication and computer skills. Excellent time management skills are important along with relationship building, persistence, flexibility, and adaptability. The essential job functions include: fielding requests from residents and families, creating informal opportunities for resident socialization, managing the first impression areas of our community, handling the phones, and maintaining certain administrative systems and records for the community.\ \ SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Confidence to engage with seniors, their families, and our various business partners
  • Top notch customer service skills to meet the needs and preferences of our residents
  • Ability to create an appealing atmosphere for our seniors at varying cognitive and physical ability levels
  • Innovative thinking to find creative solutions to presented obstacles or problems
  • Communication skills that use kindness and compassion to respond to and anticipate the needs of our customers
  • Awareness to the overall atmosphere and ability to create that welcoming atmosphere we are known for
  • Proficient in MS Office suite, phone etiquette, verbal and non-verbal communication techniques
  • Team player with ability to develop strong working relationships along with customer service focus
  • Ability to adapt/respond quickly to the needs and preferences of our residents
  • An understanding or the willingness to gain an understanding of the various forms of dementia and how to help residents with dementia still live with purpose
