MAIN JOB PURPOSE

We are looking to recruit a Product Group Quality Specialist to work within the European Homecare (Eu HC) Product Group Quality department. This represents a great development opportunity for an accomplished individual looking to develop and demonstrate high calibre personal performance within a high-profile environment.

Responsible for the delivery of Quality Right First Time for Innovation, 5S activities and of Quality Performance Improvement initiatives across Homecare Europe’s scope of operations. Dominant focus for this particular role will be Home Care Solids portfolio, however flexibility to adapt to all Category technologies is expected.

JOB SUMMARY

  • Report to Homecare Product Group Quality Manager for Europe

  • Fully conversant Ambassador for and Champion of Quality, driving C4G Quality strategy, and continually improving operational Quality.

  • Full appreciation of Solids product portfolio, technologies and manufacturing/sourcing strategy

  • Leadership of European Quality Solids Team to drive delivery of SU and Category targets

  • Full understanding of functional roles and responsibilities including SU, R&D, Procurement, Supply Chain, P&I, Virtual Factory Planning team structures and meeting frameworks

  • Fully Integrated into, and leverage contacts within, the Quality Network across EU Homecare and Global Product Groups.

  • Drive improvement through quantification/monitoring of consumer quality performance indicators for Solids EU

  • Be the Risk Management Champion ensuring effective risk management is embedded from the earliest stages of project management and is effectively maintained throughout

  • Effectively liaise with colleagues to ensure effective quality management of Solids innovation, 5S and issues across UL functions

  • Home Care 5S Quality Partner (Laundry, Machine Dish Wash, Home & Hygiene)

  • WHAT: Drive Right First-Time delivery of change

  • HOW:

  • Demonstrable proactive management of risks and mitigating actions for the priority projects

  • Ensuring Launch Quality Action Standards are met after launch peak

  • Representing HC in 5S Steercoms and 5S Operational Team Meetings to drive informed business decisions

  • Operational Quality Enhancing and Continuous Improvement projects

  • Proactively define, execute and monitor Focussed Improvement projects against key Category Quality priorities and Quality Losses.

  • Champion the effective use of WCM tools and techniques across entire Homecare Eu Quality community to drive sustainable improvements in Category Quality performance

  • Support Cross Big C and Small C Category Quality projects and initiatives, sharing and adopting best practices and other lessons learned

  • Commit to sharing core, relevant knowledge via 1-2-1 support, high standard training and coaching where appropriate and beneficial to Category Quality strategy

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience of Manufacturing environment, processes and drivers is highly desirable

  • Strong technical problem solving and demonstrable (WCM skills highly desirable)

  • Strong all-round technical aptitude is essential

  • Proven record of pragmatic programme management skills

  • Experience of leading effective Risk Management in a complex multi-dimensional environment is a significant advantage

  • Ability to maintain rigour in a complex and changing environment (self and others)

  • Use of strong Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to ‘sell’ and influence diverse stakeholders is essential

  • Strong Project Management skills, especially project planning and milestone management

  • Experience of Quality and data analysis a distinct advantage

  • Cross functional organisational awareness (esp. cross-functional collaboration) an advantage
