Amec Foster Wheeler SMP Foreman in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea

Wood is currently seeking expression of interests for Structural Mechanical Piping (SMP) Foreman to join our team in PNG on a FIFO rotational basis. Reporting to the SMP Supervisor, the successful candidate will supervise medium sized multi skilled construction crews with multiple work assignments at one location.


  • Instructing the work crew on job scope and checking their work methods, output, punctuality, and job progress

  • Implementing and maintaining a safe working environment adhering to correct work practices and procedures

  • Working foreman with skills such as Pipefitter, Rigger, etc.

  • 5 years’ minimum experience as a SMP Foreman in construction within the Oil and Gas Industry

  • Demonstrated proficiency as a Foreman with a minimum of 4 years’experience in the role

  • Sound safety, mechanical and technical aptitude

  • Knowledgeable of and capable of implementing / supervising safe work practices.

  • He must demonstrate quality workmanship, reliability and versatility with experience in a variety of assigned general tasks.This role is open to PNG citizens only.
