In this job, you’ll reside in our Vegetation Management Resource Planning & Performance Management (RPPM) Department. This person will be leading data operations across our Vegetation Management (VM) programs to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data and will support the development of data governance processes and procedures to ensure oversight of VM data. Additionally, this position will support other RPPM/VM initiatives to help improve and promote organizational performance and provide consultation to all levels of management and will be responsible for continuous improvements of business processes. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!

  • Develop and maintain an integrated approach for acquiring, analyzing and validating data to ensure the accessibility, reliability and timeliness of data for users for all vegetation management programs (Routine, HTMP, DRI, pole clearing, etc.).

  • Identify analytical trends and issues and communicate to impacted partners. Determine the underlying issues and collaborate with IT and VM to develop mitigation plans to address issues.

  • Develop automated dashboards and other reporting tools to track progress. Create/Generate reports using PowerBI for key stakeholders.

  • Work with cross-functional SCE partners to support ongoing systems changes (e.g., Survey123, Arbora) and requirements.

  • Facilitate working /continuous training sessions with RPPM, Operations, Planning and Contractors to address issues and build alignment.

  • Work in partnership with IT, T&D Provisioning and Contractors to identify software and hardware needs and requests.

  • Provide technical support to internal and external users. Troubleshoot and track technical issues to identify trends and patterns and communicate to impacted users.

Qualifications

The Essentials

  • Seven or more years of experience in a Data Analytics or Data Governance position working with large and complex data sets and analytics tools.

  • Threeor more years of experience working with Data Analytics tools PowerBI and SAS.

  • Three or more years of experience using the advanced functions of Microsoft Excel such as V-Lookups, Index/Match, Pivot Tables, or Macros .

The Preferred

  • Bachelor Degree’s.

  • Two or more years of experience with MS Access or SQL.

  • Experience with Visual Basic (VBA).

  • SharePoint knowledge.

  • Ten or more years of Electric Utility Industry experience.
