Role and Responsibilities

Job responsibilities and duties include system deployment in the lab and production environment, system level feature integration and test, developing and performing test plans, troubleshooting and analyzing problems in customer’s lab and production systems, managing and enhancing daily statistics scripts and automation tools, and customer lab support

Education

BS/BE in Computer Science or Computer Engineering major and minimum 10 years of telecommunication industry experience or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering major with 8 years of telecommunication experience

Role and Responsibility

Main role and responsibility of this position is to support AT&T MCPTT activities such as software verification test, troubleshooting activities, and production support. Need to be familiar with Mission Critical Push to Talk subsystems and functionality of each system. In addition, he/she will manage Remedy tickets issued by AT&T Ops team and follow up. This position also requires deep understanding of 4G and 5G core system such as MME, SGW, PGW, AMF, SMF, UPF, and others. He/she must understands detail call flow and be able to troubleshoot and come up with resolution in timely manner. He/she will work with Samsung HQ core team to follow up issues and deliver software patches and release documents to customer.

Skills and Qualifications

Background/Experience

Must have 10 years of experience in system test and technical customer support, good understanding of MCPTT, LTE, 5GC, and IMS telecommunications concepts, be able to understand feature requirement/design document and create test procedure, and must have experience in automation

Necessary Skills/Attributes

  • In depth understanding of IMS, MCPTT, EPC, and 5GC technologies

  • In depth IP knowledge and routing protocol, IPv6, TCP/IP, UDP, ECMP, SCTP, VLAN, IPSec

  • Good understanding of Unix/Linux OS

  • SIP, IMS, and IP telephony standards

  • Exposure to programming in Python, Ansible, and Unix/Linux shell scripting

  • Wireshark and other IP protocol analyzer

  • Experience with SBC for VOLTE service

  • Virtualization Platform such as VMWare or openstack

  • Networking Features including use of Open vSwitch, Cisco Nexus switch, SR-IOV, and Intel’s Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK), virtual NICs. Provide solutions for network resiliency and improved performance.

  • Hypervisor Performance Management – optimize NFVs using Core Pinning, Non-Uniform Memory Access (NUMA), and Guest Isolation in Multi-Tenant scenarios, familiar with Intel’s Virtualization Technology (Intel VT, VT-X) to optimize NFV functions

  • Exposure to commercial test simulators and test systems such as Spirent, Aeroflex, Tektronix

  • Strong knowledge of Wireshark or other IP protocol analyzer

  • Exposure to Cisco router configuration is plus
