Mercury Systems Electrical Engineer in Phoenix, Arizona

In this role, you have the opportunity to be a part of a world-class Engineering Team for the Microelectronics Business Unit in Phoenix, AZ. You will work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment to design innovative solutions for trusted, secure mission-critical applications. You are responsible for * Prepare engineering specifications and schematics for complex embedded electronics. Cadence toolset preferred. * Research and select electrical components for use in new products. * Perform schematic integrity checking analysis. * Lead and/or participate in peer design reviews and process improvements. * Support hardware design and verification testing. * Interact and collaborate with firmware, software, CAD, SI, and Mechanical Engineers during hardware development. You are a part of A team responsible for the rapid development of affordable, secure, and trusted open system architecture devices for our customers. This leading-edge capability also addresses a need by the Department of Defense (DoD) for made-in-USA microelectronics that equip our warfighters with state-of-the-art, military-grade products that leverage the most advanced commercial technologies. The team consists of engineers from multiple disciplines with an emphasis on group dynamics and collaboration. To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience * B.S. in Electrical Engineering * Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools * Experience with the hardware board design process * Hands on circuit board verification and troubleshooting experience * Knowledge of the CCA (Circuit Card Assembly) design process * Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment * Use of HW lab tools: oscilloscopes and DVMs for verification and debug * Ability to obtain a security clearance Purpose: This position is for an established and productive professional individual contributor in the Electrical Engineering sub-family, who works independently with general supervision. Responsibility Statement: Complete drawing design as required Design and develop computer hardware and support peripherals, including central processing units (CPUs), support logic, microprocessors, custom integrated circuits, and printers and disk drives. Design electronic components, software, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military, or scientific applications. Determine material and equipment needs and order supplies. Develop or perform operational, maintenance, or testing procedures for electronic products, components, equipment, or systems. Provides existing support to activities in the use of electrical devices and energy for commercial, domestic, and industrial use Resolves day-to-day technical problems on the production lines Troubleshoot electrical devices problem.
