Provide administrative support to billing department.
Essential Job Functions
Review daily charges for accuracy and integrity prior to creating claim.
Process medical record requests to include invoicing and final submission either via fax, mail or email.
Completes work within authorized time to assure compliance with departmental standards.
Demonstrates knowledge of, and supports, organizational mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
Responsible for sorting, collating and processing of incoming and outgoing mail.
Responsible for sending paper claims to all insurance companies and printed statements to patients.
Processing secondary claims.
Dropping off outgoing mail to the mail processing facility.
Following up on requests for information, to include, but not limited to, W9s and returned mail in a timely manner.
Responsible for organizing and stamping weekly deposits.
Ensure accurate and legible scanning into the system prior to shredding of any documentation.
Monitoring supply inventory.
Complete and turn in a weekly productivity form.
Performing other duties to support overall effectiveness of the department.
Maintains confidentiality of all information.
