The responsibilities echo those of a Principal Systems Engineer, but include direct supervision of team members and projects. A Supervisory Systems Engineer also:Plans and schedules systems engineering activities for highly complex tasks and projects.Mentors systems specialty engineers in systems engineering processes.Functions as group spokesperson on critical programs and participates in long-range planning.Counsels senior management, customer personnel and colleagues on resolving complex technical issues.Holds regular team meetings; mentors and conducts periodic performance and salary reviews for support staff.
