DBA PAR Recycle Works Driver's Assistant in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

 

Job Description:

As a driver's assistant at an electronics recycling company, you will provide crucial support to the driver in the safe and efficient transportation of electronic waste (e-waste) to and from various locations. Your primary responsibility will be assisting the driver in collecting, loading, and delivering e-waste, while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assisting with E-Waste Collection: Accompany the driver to designated locations, such as businesses, households, or recycling drop-off points, to help collect e-waste.

2. Loading and Unloading Support: Assist with the careful loading and securing of e-waste onto the vehicle, minimizing the risk of damage and ensuring proper handling.

3. Delivery Support: Aid in the transport of e-waste to recycling facilities, contributing to timely and accurate deliveries while following designated routes or instructions.

4. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines during transportation, including the proper handling of hazardous materials, securing loads, and practicing safe behavior.

5. Vehicle Maintenance Support: Assist in vehicle inspections, maintenance tasks, such as cleaning or organizing the vehicle, and promptly report any maintenance needs or issues.

6. Record Keeping Assistance: Help maintain accurate records of collected e-waste, delivery times, and any other necessary documentation.

7. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting with inquiries, addressing concerns, and maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor.

8. Teamwork: Collaborate with the driver and other team members to ensure smooth operations, assist with additional tasks as needed, such as e-waste sorting or processing.

 

Requirements:

- Basic knowledge of e-waste handling practices and safety procedures.

- Physical fitness and ability to lift, carry, and transport heavy objects.

 

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with the driver and customers.

- Attention to detail and commitment to following instructions and protocols.

- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
