Role Definition

Manages RISM Quality & Advanced Product Procurement team of Product Procurement Engineers and Supplier Development Engineers for component development for Articulated Trucks and regional RIOP components to deliver year over year Quality, Velocity & Cost performance improvements with suppliers and RIOP.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the part development and successful PPAP effectiveness through supplier collaboration & APQP aligned to the RISM worldwide sourcing strategies for Articulated Trucks.

• Identifying performance gaps within the supply base and developing improvement plans for the identified gaps to achieve Supplier Excellence Recognition (SER) Certification Requirements.

• Collaborating with RISM Categories and RIOP Engineering teams on risk mitigation and using predictive cost modelling tools to meet program financials.

•Serve RIOP as the trusted advisor for all procurement related requirements.

Category Management: Knowledge of category management within an organization's goods and services sector; ability to use this knowledge to analyze and improve the end-to-end procurement process and maximize business profitability.

Level Extensive Experience:

• Advises on streamlining the procurement strategy to realize the strategic benefits of category management with RISM and RIOP Managers.

• Identifies roadblocks in the implementation of category management and recommends innovative solutions for select RIOP product lines.

• Prepares reports to evaluate the impact of category management on the procurement process and present ROI data to management.

• Supervises the execution of all APQP to meet NPI, NSI and CPI objectives leveraging multiple tools and systems to achieve targets.

Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.

Level Extensive Experience:

• Facilitates supplier partnering arrangements that share risk and reward.

• Monitors supplier performance on part families and works with the category to resolve discrepancies between performance and agreements.

• Develops quality standards through APQP & controls for suppliers to achieve SER Certification and continuous quality improvement for zero defects.

Strategic Sourcing: Knowledge of strategic sourcing methods, technologies and processes; ability to analyze, improve and re-evaluate organizational procurement process continuously.

Level Extensive Experience:

• Participates in developing the part family source matrix with RISM categories and product lines engineered value chain managers for supply agility throughout the cycles.

• Works with complex strategic sourcing components including but not limited to negotiations, contracting, and continuous process improvement and implementation.

• Consults on strategic sourcing methods in relation to business relationships, inter-dependencies and integration.
