Job Summary

TheProcessEngineer is responsibleto perform process engineering calculation and address the process engineering designchallenges.As anengineer, this role requires technical depth, business acumen in identifying new opportunities and people-centric aptitude. Based in Kuala Lumpur, the candidate is also part of the Company’s wider globalProcess Engineeringcommunity.

Responsibilities:

  1. Defines the process to optimize product delivery throughout the facility, considering inputs from clients, products specifications, and cost of solution.

  2. Perform process simulations, P&IDs, BFD, PFDs, UFDs, Heat and Material Balance, Process Equipment datasheets.

  3. Perform relief and blowdown studies, PSV load scenario analysis, flare network and flare radiation calculations.

  4. Take responsibility for completing calculations, software models, reports, and relevant deliverables as set out in the Scope of Work (including BoD, specification, technical note, calculation note etc.). Manage and performprocess engineeringstudies and prepare calculation and design reports with minimal supervision.

  5. Generateprocess engineeringphilosophies and procedures, based on the simulation findings.

  6. Ensures completion of safe, economic and operable design in accordance with Company and project requirements, relevant laws, regulations and codes.

  7. Familiarity with relevant inter-departmental dependencies in projects (Flow Assurance, Safety, Pipeline, Piping, Well, Material, Reliability etc.).

  8. Actively participate in engineering safety and engineering coordination meetings with internal and external project stakeholders.

  9. Complete technical analysis and rationales needed as a contribution to study and tender submissions. Reviews job scope and provides input to estimates and schedules for bid submissions.

  10. Participates in Company global process engineering team knowledge sharing initiatives. Active in transfer of process expertise and mentor/coach other engineers.

  11. Represent Company in internal and external meetings, forums, conferences, etc. that are relevant to subject matter expertise area.
