Senior Fire Sprinkler Inspectors perform inspections, testing, and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and other water-based systems in accordance with all national and local standards. They also supply hands-on training and coaching to entry-level Inspectors

As a Senior Fire Inspector , you will:

  • Provide inspection, testing, and service for wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire sprinkler systems; backflow preventors; water tanks; fire hydrants; foam-based systems; water mist systems; and fire pumps per NFPA 25 standards.

  • Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations.

  • Provide subject matter expertise to peers.

  • Discuss noted deficiencies, remedies, and pricing with customers and follow up on corrective actions.

  • Follow and maintain highly-structured inspection schedules.

  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tests performed. Generate reports within Siemens tools and upload to required city municipality websites.

  • Perform service and deficiency repairs on all fire sprinkler system types.

  • Complete service ticket documentation and inspection reports before leaving customer site.

  • Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections; assist with training.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED

  • NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems Level II or state certification

  • Ability to read and understand design and construction documents

  • Experience estimating impairment, deficiencies, and service repairs

  • Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet

  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems; 5+ years preferred.

  • Must obtain NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems Level III or state certification within 12 months

  • The pay range for this position is $54,300 - $100,900. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
