The VMware Finance Systems and Solutions (FSS) Team is a focused group that implements and manages finance applications and processes is looking for an Invoice to Cash Subject matter expert who is responsible for implementing projects, processes, and solutions in the Invoice to Cash /SaaS functional area.
Solution Architect position gives you an opportunity to provide business/ functional expertise and add value in bringing new tools/applications, innovation and transformation in Invoice to Cash SaaS functional area. You are going to work on latest business models , GTM and RTMS as well as systems/ tools and explore Invoice to Cash processes and support Invoice to Cash Stakeholders and GPO organization. You also have an opportunity to work with global teams.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
You will be working with various Revenue, AR and other Invoice to Cash Stakeholders as they transact on different finance systems. You will have opportunity to learn many Route to market and go to market business models and learn new processes/Policies. You will have opportunity to work on different finance applications. You will be working on many key cross functional and SaaS key initiatives over the first 6-12 months as VMware transforms into SaaS company.
As a Solution Architect and subject matter expert you will be partnering with Invoice to Cash business community Global Process Owners, IT , SaaS BU and FSS Team and learning new processes and system capabilities. You will learn many skills in influencing stakeholders understanding Upstream processes as well as Finance processes through the journey.
The Work:

As a member of the Finance Solutions team, this is a role for individuals who want to utilize business analysis skills to actively contribute to project implementations, Enhancements and support Invoice to Cash stakeholders to scale the business with business and system acumen.
The Invoice to Cash Solution Architect:
Works closely with Revenue , AR, SaaS Business, GPO Organization, and Engineering teams as well as integrated testing teams worldwide on a variety of Process Improvements across all Finance systems with a key focus in SaaS transformation.
The Solution Architect will support SaaS Invoice to Cash track by contributing to User Story Preparation, process flows, detailed scenario mock ups to document Requirements and Use Cases, Business Analysis, proposing solution considerations, Testing, Training, Deploy phases of ERP enhancements
Work on key projects in SaaS Finance initiatives.
Liaise with IT on ongoing cross functional Tier2 and Tier 3 key projects and enhancements.
Work closely with business teams operational issues
Define and analyze the requirements, prepare the BRDs or User stories, develop Test trackers, and perform Pre UAT (Hands on) and drive business user testing.
Prepare key training material and Train end users to ensure that the new solutions are easily adapted by user community
Participate in UAT testing for various projects to compare actual with expected results and liaise with IT to resolve bug fixes
Perform End to End testing during test cycles
Work with Business teams when they are supporting month end and Quarter End Period Close and address any Open items by working with Operational support team for fixes.
What are skills that may be helpful for success?
At least 15 years of Invoice to Cash / SaaS functional knowledge and /or implementing ERP or Cloud Solutions in a High-Tech Software company with experience is required.
Business engagement and Business analysis experience in implementing ERP systems (Invoice to Cash Track) is required.
Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people using strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience working with remote teams and management strongly preferred.
Stakeholder engagement skills are necessary
Ability to work with business stakeholders to gather business requirements is necessary
Ability to influence stakeholders and other cross functional groups to bring in scalable and efficient solutions to Finance landscape
Experience in working as a Full time employee in High tech industry is preferred
Experience in presenting the use cases and solution options to the stakeholders and management is preferred

Finance Systems and Solutions (FSS) team is highly regarded team with about 70 to 75 members, closely work with IT and Business to solve business problems and bring better solutions. Global team is spread throughout VMware offices including Palo Alto(US), San Jose (Costa Rica), Cork (Ireland) ,and Bangalore (India).
Where is this role located?
Hybrid: The location of this role is hybrid within Palo Alto, CA. We are looking for someone to be in the office 2 days/week, and work the remaining days remotely from home.

For US based candidates, the annual pay range (OTE for commissioned roles; Salary for other roles) for this position is: $115,000 - $277,000. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. VMware offers comprehensive benefits including, but not limited to: medical, dental, and vision plans, company paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
