EVA'S DINER AND BAKERY Specialty Cook in Oroville, Washington

Eva's Diner and Bakery is looking to fill Specialty Cook position(s) in Okanogan County, Washington. This is a temporary, full-time, seasonal position and we are looking to fill two job openings for employment from April 1, 2019 until November 30, 2019. Duties: Correctly cook food according to recipes or personal experience, including specialty dishes such as Filipino-Visayan lechon, pickled papaya, and Filipino pastries; ensure freshness of food and ingredients by performing quality control and rotating stock; ensure food is cooked and stored at correct temperature by inspecting and maintaining food handling equipment; and maintain food preparation and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food handling. Requirements: At least two years experience in cooking traditional Filipino dishes, including lechon. Terms and Conditions of Employment: $13.71/hour, at least 40 hours per week, Tuesday - Saturday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm (schedule varies). Overtime is available as needed. Overtime rate of pay is at least $20.56/hour. Transportation: From the worker's home to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will provide advance payment for transportation and subsistence (including meals, and to the extent necessary, lodging). Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place where the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $12.26 per day during travel to a maximum of $51.00 per day with receipts. Tools, equipment, and supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due; the pay period is every two weeks. The employer will make all payroll deductions required by law and will not make any deductions which are not required by law. The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker.
