Lockheed Martin Lead Systems Architect - Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

Description: Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control business is seeking a Lead Systems Architect to join our team at our Orlando, FL site.

To be considered for this role you must have an active Top Secret clearance. Due to the classified nature of this program all work must be performed onsite.

You will lead systems engineering activities for an advanced missile development effort. This position reports to the Program's Chief Engineer and will provide day-to-day interface with Program Managers, subsystem suppliers, and various government program offices.

You will ensure the technical performance is flowed through the systems architecture and requirements, and all risk reduction activities for the missile development effort including the production transition phases, design upgrades required for intended applications, and various vehicle integration's.

Where can you get to from Orlando? Orlando is about an hour's drive from Cocoa Beach and the "space coast" to include NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. Tampa is about 1.5 hours from Orlando. West Palm Beach is about 2.5 hours to the south and Jacksonville is about 2 hours to the northeast. Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

• Experience in missile design and development.

• Experience leading a team to achieve successful demonstration of program development milestones such as Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR), system integration and test, and Functional Configuration Audit (FCA).

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with WOSA and Government Reference Architecture.

• Experience coordinating or managing subcontractors and subcontract technical management.

• Experience with proposal writing.
