Hyatt Marketing Coordinator in ORANGE COUNTY, California

The primary responsibility of the Marketing Coordinator is to research, develop and implement the annual integrated marketing and communications plan to support the business objectives for three Hyatt brands resorts in Orange County, CA. The plan(s) should include objectives(s), strategies and tactics for each of the hotel's market segments. The ultimate goal is to heighten market presence, increase positive awareness, strengthen brand loyalty, increase market share and most importantly, produce increased revenues and profitability. This person will promote awareness and maintain a positive brand image of the property on a local, regional and national level through consistent and targeted public relations and marketing and digital campaigns. This person will ensure that the hotel's brand position is present in coverage, messages are compelling and insights and reporting are accurate. This person will report directly to the Area Director of Sales and Marketing.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the lead expert, manager and facilitator for strategies, as well as the support resource for technical implementation of internet initiatives for the hotel.

  • Managing within an established budget with direct oversight by the Area Director of Sales & Marketing.

  • Design and execute campaigns to drive traffic to these three Hyatt hotels in Orange County, CA.

  • Manage Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and all targeted social media channels through social media monitoring platforms.

  • Plan media strategy calendar for the hotel, to include food & beverage establishments.

  • Act as internal consultant to promote knowledge, provide insight and act as a resource on related new media trends.

  • Identify revenue or partnership opportunities on social media or third party websites.

  • Ensure consistency of published content (updated photos, videos and copy) across all hotel and outlet listings on various websites.

  • Manage online reputation; respond to all reviews on Trip Advisors and other like sites.

  • Update all Hyatt Websites and third party sites.

  • Assist with preparing PowerPoint presentations for Area Director of Sales & Marketing.

  • Marketing projects as assigned by Area Director of Sales & Marketing. i.e, Sales Flyers, Advertisements, etc.

  • Marketing research and reporting.

  • Photo and Video shoot coordination/assistance.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Marketing or Business is preferred.

-Prior experience marketing hotel of similar size and market segment preferred.

-Microsoft office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher.

-Web research skills and familiarity with major social media resources required.

-Basic design capabilities and HTML skills preferred.

-Must be able to communicate professionally, both written and verbal.

-Strong ability to write professionally and communicate in writing required.
