The Boeing Company Entry-Level Real Time Software Engineer (B-1 Program) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Boeing's B-1 Program in Oklahoma City is seeking Entry-level Software Engineer applicants to be part of our Simulation Software Team.

Position Responsibilities:

The organization is responsible for maintaining and developing lab simulators used during the testing and qualification of aircraft systems. The team is also responsible for maintaining and developing desktop simulators used by the Air Force for the purpose of familiarization and knowledge transfer.

The successful candidate for this position will assist in the analysis, design, documentation, and implementation of code related to one or more of these systems. Experience or university course work with the programming languages C, C++, and Qt are desired. Experience with Linux real-time embedded environments, and/or with Windows PCs and GUI development, is desired. Experience with writing and maintaining Ethernet interfaces is also desired. The candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn and work effectively in a fast-paced team oriented environment.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship (Post-start).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors of Science or higher from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

  • Engineering experience or related coursework with modeling and simulation of complex systems

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering discipline.

  • Desired experience with simulation systems used to test avionics software.

  • Course work with the programming languages C, C++, and Qt

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
