Weber State University Mentorship Development and Implementatio in OGDEN, Utah

This position is being hired as a one-year temporary position with the possibility of extending it after the first year depending on candidate performance and budget.The Mentorship Development and Implementation Coordinator reports to the Director of Mentoring Programs and is an essential part of the mentoring team and initiatives at Weber State University. In support of university priorities,the focus of the Mentorship Development and Implementation Coordinator is to scale mentoring through the use of the mentoring template by working collaboratively with key contacts across academic colleges and departments to support the development and scaling of mentoring initiatives in their areas,from design to implementation,for wider student participation. The Mentorship Development and Implementation Coordinator works closely with peer mentors across Weber State to provide training and development opportunities.Other key responsibilities include: consulting with academic colleges and departments to start or enhance mentoring programs; collaborating with other campus programs that promote mentoring as a high-impact program (i.e. Wildcat Advantage); maintaining regular communication with mentoring programs key stakeholders,mentors and mentees as needed; coordinating regular peer mentor training and recognition; assessing the success of the mentoring programs,mentors effectiveness and other relevant program outcomes.
