VCA Canada Mississauga-Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital has an excellent career opportunity for a dedicated, full time RVT/Assistant Technical Manager. Reporting to the Technical Managers, the successful candidate will provide outstanding day-to-day support for our Technical Managers as well as for our staff. The candidate will require the ability to jump in as an RVT where needed, while providing leadership and managerial support in a professional and confidential manner.
They will strive to help us deliver a high level of veterinary care and share our philosophy, “Caring for life’s greatest companions”. Key responsibilities and attributes for this role are:
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to professional and personal ethics
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges as hospital needs dictate.
Flexibility and confidence required to work as an RVT in various departments
Under direct supervision of our Technical Managers :
Have a keen interest in supervising, coaching and providing leadership to a large number of employees
Participation in recruitment and on-boarding, as well as on-going employee support
Managerial Support including administrative duties, accounting tasks, document preparation and schedule management.
Adaptability and change management; the ability to drive and manage positive change
