Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in NORWALK, Connecticut. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with various responsibilities related to financial reports, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. This role is critical to our operations and requires a candidate with a strong understanding of accounting practices.


• Prepare and reconcile bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements

• Maintain balance sheet schedules monthly

• Support the creation and maintenance of Cash Flow Models

• Generate and interpret commission QuickBooks reports

• Create daily Journal entries and maintain accurate records

• Provide assistance and support to internal personnel

• Research, track, and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies

• Perform expense account analysis and report findings

• Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas

• Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws

• Undertake special projects or additional duties as assigned

• Support all Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable functions

• Support the reconciliation process for ecommerce platforms

• Assist with Tax preparation

• Complete analysis of the employee expenditures

• Generate the company’s financial reports using income and expenditure data

• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department

• Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records

• Utilize various skills such as 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Accounts Receivable (AR)', 'Bank Reconciliations', 'General Ledger', 'Journal Entries', 'Month End Close', 'NetSuite', 'Oracle', 'QuickBooks', 'SAP', 'Quickbooks Online' in performing duties. Requirements

• Must have a minimum of three years' experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger operations is essential

• Experience in Journal Entries and Month End Close processes is necessary

• Knowledge of various accounting software including NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Quickbooks Online is required

• Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines is essential

• Must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
