Teledyne Marine Systems is seeking an experienced Logistics & Inventory Control Supervisor. Supervises the daily activities of the inventory control staff including material control, work order kitting, stock room, shipping & receiving. Responsible for inventory control management across all inventory locations in the facility including frequent reporting & driving action for product movement as needed. Ownership over the collection & evaluation of cycle counting data, including reconciling inventory discrepancies by performing appropriate system movements, conducting recounts of inventory as appropriate, & identification of root causes. Leads the annual physical inventory process, prepares for, & facilitates inventory audits. Assist in developing processes/procedures with other departments that will facilitate & expedite accurate movement of inventory through the data system. Contributes to the development of processes & procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operation of the warehouse & stockroom functions Developing, recommend, & incorporate Lean process improvements throughout the material value stream. Establish & execute cycle count schedule in compliance with the corporate accounting objectives; maintain cycle count records to allow review by management & provide reports related to cycle count activity To coordinate & oversee the daily cycle counts; investigate, identify & reconcile the cycle count discrepancies, i.e., shortages as well as overages Audit processes along with paper flow errors & try to understand issues that may affect the accuracy of the inventory Trains staff to ensure attainment of department performance goals Oversees & ensures successful achievement of performance goals of assigned functional areas. Organization of inventory areas & maintaining efficient material handling & storage Ensure that all transactions are recorded appropriately in ERP system Lead & execute the annual physical inventory Correct inventory discrepancies Ensures that FIFO is followed Ensures that customer orders are picked & delivered to shipping to meet customer requirements Ensure that customer orders are shipped according to all approved process & on time to meet customer commitments Ensure product is received properly per approved processes & made available to end users in a timely manner Controls warehouse expenses. Candidate must possess U.S. citizenship or be a U.S. Person Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related degree preferred or equivalent experience 3 -5 years in a logistics & inventory control supervisory role in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of MRP, including backflushing & the use of phantoms in BOM's Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to work with changing demands in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management & communication skills (verbal & written). Proactive & action oriented with proven ability to work with a minimum of supervision & direction. Thorough understanding of the ERP system & how inventory transactions flow through to ensure inventory accuracy Computer Experience required including a working knowledge of MSOffice programs, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook Knowledge of continuous improvement Ability to adapt to change & maintain a positive attitude See complete job description when applying.
