The Employee Experience Specialist will support and drive projects that impact business outcomes by focusing on organizational development projects in collaboration with the VP of Human Resources such as developing key human capital organizational capability enablers, driving DEI and employee engagement and turnover initiatives. The position will sit on the DEI Advisory Team. The Employee Experience Specialist will also design a Leadership Development program and manage its implementation and sit as a core team member of the Development Team. The Employee Experience Specialist is responsible for managing and analyzing HR metrics, dashboards, and human capital monthly reports. This role will also focus on the people side of change and manage communications for human capital projects and initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Serves as role model for Helmer values by maintaining positive internal/external relationships; embracing and valuing diversity in all forms; promoting individual growth and development; actively promoting Continuous Improvement Culture; and demonstrating a commitment to excellence in the achievement of company goals/objectives.

  • Comply with workplace safety procedures.

Organizational Development:

  • Assist with the growth of key human capital organizational capabilities as assigned. Collaborate with the development of Enabler Organizational Maturity Model definitions, roadmap creation and execution to drive enablers to desired maturity level.

  • Design and implement cultural initiatives in collaboration with the CEO and VP of Human Resources including but not limited to Helmer Foundations and DEI initiatives.

  • Actively engage as a member of the DEI Advisory Team.

  • Conduct listening tours and focus groups as needed to gain useful insights in organizational issues and synthesize the results to provide recommendations. Oversee action plan implementation as needed.

  • Focus on project implications that impact employees. Using a structured process and set of tools, assist and coach project leaders and employees’ leaders on how best to support employees through the change transition to realize project goals. This could include identifying specific employee communications, supporting messaging, recommending the best delivery methods and/or developing tactics for resistance management.

HR Analytics:

  • Create, maintain, and analyze HR metrics, dashboards, and human capital monthly reports.

  • Collaborate to identify and lead cross functional teams as needed to drive improvement action plans for turnover and other projects as needed.

Talent Management:

  • In collaboration with the VP of Human Resources, develop, manage, and continually improve employee engagement initiatives include engagement surveys and action planning. Conduct employee surveys and focus groups.

Communication:

  • Create, manage, implement, and own communications strategy and plans as it relates to internal initiatives, and other activities within your span of responsibility. Create and manage a communications calendar and increase efficiency of current communication practices. Develop and manage content including writing, video production and digital content such as blog and social media. Craft creative ways to communicate with employees to increase engagement.

Talent Development:

  • Participate as a team member of the Development Team. Fully engage in program creation as well as team activities.

  • Design a Leadership Development Program (LDP) aligned to a Helmer leadership development model that supports the development of seasoned through emerging leaders to support business needs.

  • Manage external vendors as it relates to the LDP if applicable.

  • Establish applicable dashboards and reporting mechanisms to measure the success of the LDP, asses its success, and adjust as appropriate.

  • Facilitate training and development workshops and sessions as needed.

Relative Work Experience: Min 3 years applicable experience including managing cross functional projects. Trained in a Change Management methodology preferred.

Education: BS degree in related field.

Certifications / Licenses: None

Computer Systems / Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Strong proficiency in Excel. Power BI preferred.
