Coherent Corp. Diamond Turn Technician (2nd or 3rd shift) - 2004524 in Newtown, Connecticut
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: We are seeking a Diamond Turning Technician in our Newtown, CT facility. This position executes key phases of semiconductor wafer chuck manufacturing. As a Diamond Turning Technician, you'll operate diamond turning equipment and perform various component production operations within designated processes. Second shift schedule is Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30 pm; 3rd shift is Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30 am the following day.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities * Operate diamond turning equipment. * Run CNC programs for diamond turning or diamond grinding operations. * Conduct preventative maintenance on diamond turning equipment, including mechanical and electronic adjustments. * Understand and follow target specifications and tolerances. * Use inspection equipment and measuring devices to ensure compliance with quality standards. * Evaluate procedures and recommend changes or modifications for efficiency and adaptability to production * Perform scheduled inspection of work (including documentation of results) and verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications * Confer with engineers, production personnel or others to resolve issues * Maintain safe, clean, orderly and organized work areas * Accurate and timely completion and organization of required paperwork * Perform all other duties, as assigned
