An Electrical Controls & Instrument Technician is needed for a chemical processing organization near Barstow, California. The Electrical Control & Instrument Technician is responsible for the start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems, equipment and devices. Tasks include calibrate and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, chemical, electrical and electronic process controls, and measurement instrumentation.

Qualified candidates must have 3+ years' of E&I experience within a manufacturing environment. Experience within an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred. Proficiency with Honeywell DCS is desired. This is a contract-to-direct hire role, and candidates will be working a DuPont 2-2-3 shift schedule. Relocation assistance is available for qualified regional candidates.

responsibilities:

• Calibrate and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, chemical, electrical and electronic process controls, and measurement instrumentations

• Installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, calibrating, and testing a wide variety of industrial instrumentation such as control valves, transmitters, radars, levels, Controlling and regulating level, flow, pressure, and temperature meters

• Perform PLC programming and program modifications

• Generate Instrument Deviation Reports (IDR) for out of tolerance calibrations of process instrumentation and promptly notify the department facilitator and site instrument officer; Develop and maintain calibration Standard Service Procedures documents and database
