Job Summary

IT's vision is to Power the Digital Future of PSEG. We are partners with the business and we are driving business outcomes through innovative use of technology. Our Technology Operations Professional is focused on all Information Technology systems and applications in various locations in New Jersey and Long Island. Also it reports to the Group Product Manager and works closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to understand the business requirements that drive the analysis and physical design of technical solutions. This position will lead to other advanced level Information Technology roles such as Associate Business Systems Analyst, Associate Technology Product Consultants through challenging assignments and allowing the successful candidate to further develop their skills in various areas within Information Technology. This position is for a graduate of Workforce Opportunity Services (WOS) and must have PSEG work experience.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

• Responsible for working collaboratively with all stakeholders and serving as a technology leader for the effective use of technologies to maintain world-class operations and delivery of solutions. Develop and deliver technology and information strategy and trends, and best practices/governance

• Responsible to keep the environment current and identify continuous improvement areas as well as come up with new initiatives. Identify future technologies and implement new technologies once business approved.

• Collaborate with the application developers and database administrators to ensure database performance, integrity and security.

• Provide other contributions as directed by your Technology Group Product Manager and/or Product Owner

Our IT Operations Professionals are involved in the various areas of Information Technology such as Operations, Desktop, Applications, Cyber Security, and Infrastructure. This position will support the following area:

• Microsoft Windows Administration: Administrators use Microsoft Windows Server software and specialized software to provide computing resource for various systems. The role may include capacity planning, installation, configuration, design, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, server backup and data recovery.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or must have internship to 4 years of related IT experience.

• Graduate of Workforce Opportunity Services (WOS) and have PSEG work experience.

Desired:

• Experience developing business process flows and soliciting business requirements

• Knowledge of testing methodologies and/or project management

• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Management or Customer Relationship Management software

• Certifications in technical specialties such as Microsoft, Cisco, etc.

• Prior experience supporting a Windows environment

• Familiarity with Linux and Windows, and networking concepts such as IP networks

• Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley controls

• Experience troubleshooting network communications issues with vendors and carriersh
