Portfolio Managers within GPD Portfolio & Project Management contribute to improving the performance of Pfizer's medicine development efforts through operational planning, medicine development portfolio reporting, and portfolio data analytics initiatives across Pfizer's medicine development categories.

What You Will Achieve

You will bring a strong interest in medicine development along with key digital competencies and a passion for working with data. You will play a key role in supporting decisions across our medicine development portfolio by ensuring stakeholders across Pfizer have access to the data and analytics they need, while becoming a subject matter expert in Pfizer development processes and applications for managing critical portfolio information.

How You Will Achieve It

The principle responsibility of this role is ensuring timely delivery of actionable information for decision making to business stakeholders across Pfizer's medicine development organization, from early to late-stage development. It will be a key technical resource within the Portfolio & Project Management department.

This role will:
Develop, enhance and maintain high integrity portfolio digital capabilities, self-service digital platforms, data management processes and reports, from early R&D through post-Product launch. The role will require an ability to understand business requirements and be able to translate them into application specifications.
Manage the provisioning of enterprise-scale automated reports and other information delivery technologies/platforms across GPD PPM and the broader portfolio data ecosystem (e.g. RAPID)
Manage the growing interdependencies between Project Planning, Resource Management, and Portfolio Systems, to drive the long-term evolution of these digital capabilities.
Develop portfolio tools, processes and reports to assist Project Managers, Planners, Asset Team Leaders, and other partners in managing programs and portfolios.
Works with Planning, Project Management, development team (onshore/offshore)/business customers to develop/co-develop (from design to deployment) data science projects/applications.
Role will require hands-on experience with coding and applying the latest in big data technologies to execute on complex future state architecture and business use cases.
Work independently in delivering technical solutions and manage multiple simultaneous projects against deliverable timelines.
Steward the design, development, and maintenance of key operational reports (LOP/Scenario, Op Plan, Closed Loop reporting) and analytics across the WRD and BU business lines. Maintain common global analytical views and ensures regular analysis and reporting through multiple channels for global and partner lines.
Convert operational data flows to Datiku DSS platform, delivering streamlined and consistent mechanisms for active portfolio monitoring, quality management and alerting.
Provide system administration and support services for Dataiku DSS Platform and other in-scope self-service digital platforms on behalf of the business.
Deliver a program of support Including but not limited to - upkeep, configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, training, knowledge transfer, best practices, maintain knowledge base/documentation.
Network with Platform/System Owners and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from various lines and teams to understand business needs and collaborate closely with colleagues to leverage and/or develop appropriate solutions consistent with GPD PPM strategies. Relationship building is a key element of this engagement.

Core Requirements
BA/BS degree
5+ years of demonstrated relevant work experience, including certifications in data science or a related technical field
Demonstrated expertise in the manipulation and curation of large data sets, integration of data across multiple sources and data structuring to facilitate analyses.
Contemporary knowledge of software and frameworks and modeling techniques, with related certifications being beneficial.
Programming/Scripting Languages: strong Python and SQL skills essential, (JavaScript, R, Java, .net useful)
Data Management tools (Dataiku, Alteryx)
Experience with Cloud Platforms (especially AWS)
Experience with big data technologies e.g. Redshift, Hadoop and Snowflake
Business Intelligence Tools (Tableau and/or Power BI, Tibco Spotfire)
Candidate should be self-motivated in learning new languages, technologies, and modeling techniques while being able to explain their work to other data scientists and business customers.
Is naturally curious, seeks quality information and provides analyses and recommendations supported by facts.
Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills
Contributes to a learning environment by sharing knowledge and best practices within and across the organization.
Ability to synthesize data and information from multiple sources to assess and analyze portfolio progress and performance, and recommend process improvements
Ability to work independently and with team members from diverse backgrounds in a matrixed environment

Preferred
Experience with hands-on AI/machine learning
Work experience in drug pharma/working knowledge of Drug Development process (but not required)
