Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Part-Time Registered Nurse- Integrative Health (Holistic Health). In this role, the successful candidate The Registered Professional Staff Nurse (RN) assumes responsibility for nursing care and outcomes for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the nursing process in collaboration with other members of the health team. Job Responsibilities: Demonstrates personal accountability for own professional practice and professional growth. Performs other duties as aligned with the mission and values of the organization. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care based on physical psychosocial educational safety and age-related criteria pertinent to the patients served in his/her assigned area. Provides patient/family education and assists in discharge planning utilizing resources and considering patient/family readiness barriers and alternatives. Establishes priorities for patient care delivery and uses critical thinking skills coordinates and completes patient care responsibilities independently or by appropriately delegating. Administers medication and parenteral therapy in accordance with policy and procedure including blood administration. Establishes effective caring relationships with staff patients families and other members of the health care team. Communicates and collaborates effectively with members of the health care team escalating situations appropriately. Promotes patient safety and quality including adherence to the National Patient Safety Goals Documents patient assessment reassessment progress toward goal achievement and all other required documentation accurately and timely. Additional Position Specific Responsibilities: (Grant Funded Position: Employment subjected to available grant funding through FY27) Holistic Integrative Health Nurse will provide group, bedside, and virtual integrative health services to patients, caregivers and NYU Langone employees in inpatient and outpatient settings. Practitioner will offer Guided Care such as Meditation, Guided Imagery, Progressive Muscle Relaxation, Mindful Movement and Hands-on therapies such as M-technique, Reiki, Acupressure, Reflexology. Practitioner will provide education to reduce anxiety, stress, and pain, and to promote relaxation and general wellness. Practitioner will act as a resource in holistic nursing, integrative health, whole person care, non-pharmacological symptom management, and health care workers well-being. Practitioner will teach nurses as part of a Holistic Integrative Health Fellowship program. Practitioner will be responsible for integrative health and wellness project coordination under the direction of the Nurse Manager and other leadership team. Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Must be a graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program. NY State RN License. Required Licenses: Registered Nurse License-NYS Preferred Qualifications: Experience with leading self-care didactic and experiential session. Regular Mindfulness Practice, prior training in MBSR or CMBM etc. Experience as Massage Therapist, Yoga Teacher, Reiki Practitioner, or other therapeutic modalities such as focused breathing, guided imagery, Therapeutic Touch, M-technique. Holistic Nursing Certification (or within 6 months of hire) and/or Holistic Nurse Coach Certification/ health and wellness coach (or within 6 months of hire) Knowledge of inpatient consultation service functions, EPIC, or other relevant experience. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
