The Role

Alvita Care is on track to deliver tremendous growth over the next several years through growth in our core home care business and via new business lines. As a Human Resources/Onboarding Specialists you will be responsible for day-to-day operations of ensuring accurate verification and onboarding of recruiting team members’ new hires. Primary duties include the administration of the caregivers’ licensing, education, background checks, and other qualifications in order to work in New York State and surrounding jurisdictions.

What You Will Do

Essential duties and responsibilities for the Human Resources/Onboarding Specialist role include the following:

  • Perform primary source verification and other data source collection required for initial hires and rehires

  • Perform research on unknown or invalid contact information to redirect requests as needed

  • Follow up on outstanding verification requests to ensure timely responses

  • Prepare credentialing files for committee review

  • Assists in maintaining the caregiver data to ensure compliance with governance documents and regulatory authorities

  • Performs related responsibilities as required

Who you will be…

  • Associates degree or equivalent human resources experience required

  • 2+ years of HR experience in the health care field

  • 2+ years of experience in credentialing required

  • Must be knowledgeable of Dept of Health compliance and regulations

  • Knowledge of JCAHO HR standards and licensing verification

  • Ability to work under pressure handling high volumes of new hires, while continuing to drive cases forward toward start dates

  • Be able to learn multiple applications, which are required to support the onboarding experience

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple priorities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including letters, memos, and emails

  • Must be organized and have exceptional attention to detail

  • Ability to research and analyze data

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff, and contacts outside the organization

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and internet resources
