Hiring an Estimator for a major cost management firm based in NYC working on high profile government projects ranging up to $200m.

Description:

• Bulk of the projects are with govt agency projects

• Budgets range from minimum $1 million to $200 million

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Perform detailed quantity take offs and pricing for cost estimates

• Take offs, pricing, construction documents, change orders

• Perform on-screen takeoffs for quantity verification against subcontractor bids

• Attend meetings with engineers, investors and other agencies involved in projects

• Obtain, update and manage accurate pricing information from data base, contractors and suppliers to utilize cost estimates

• Work with architects/engineers to develop clear project scope during preparation of estimates and develop relationships

• Prepare cost reconciliation between two or more estimates and be able to explain

Qualifications:

• 3 years minimum of estimating in Project & Cost Management

• Excel (Microsoft) for cost accounting, reporting, methods and programs

• Experience using Onscreen, Bluebeam, or Planswift for takeoffs
