North America Service Center for Chinese Students LLC Education Consultant in New York, New York
The education consultant will help students improve their English language skills in order to gain competitiveness in their applications with different levels of U.S schools, from elementary school level to graduate school level, depending on students’ needs. The students' ages range from 7 to 25 years old.Job Duties:•Identify and utilize effective methods to teach English grammar, conversation skills and vocabulary to non-native speaker, and conduct workshops. •Provide tutoring sessions to students in the preparation of their language proficiency tests, develop learning materials and practice tests, drill students on effective test-taking methods and report on student performance. •Observe students to determine their skill levels and identify potential learning disabilities or other factors affecting their ability to learn English. •Develop English lesson plans aligned with state standards, subject matter, and the needs of individual students. •Prepare for courses to be delivered by becoming familiar with the relevant framework(s) provided and discussing the methodologies and purposes of the course with the member of academic staff.•Tutor students about English writing in the college application process.•Serve as a liaison between stakeholders including parents, students, and staff to maintain effective communication. •Assist with other departments in creating specialized sales and marketing plans and promotional material. Requirements:1. Master's degree in TESOL, Linguistics or English;2. At least 24 months of work experience at same or similar role, e.g. English Curriculum Coordinator, with companies serving international students. 3. Experience must involve developing curriculum for English language learning.
