Summary:
Facebook is looking for an innovative leader to drive the vision and lead the central team responsible for the Social Marketing program for our Facebook company brand. This is a unique opportunity to shape the Facebook company brand globally, as well the discipline of social and content marketing at Facebook. This role is an integral part of our Facebook company marketing team focused on communicating Facebook’s narrative on Economic Impact, Innovation, Civic Engagement, Social Impact, DEI and Responsibility/Privacy. This role will be responsible for leading the strategic development and execution of social marketing communications initiatives that support and build our corporate brand in the eyes of both our global community and key audiences.The ideal individual for this role has a strong background in originating and setting vision for social and editorial programs which generate high levels of impact with audiences across multiple channels. This individual will have proven experience working with executive leadership, leading creative development, teams and cross-functional programs. They should also have a passion for problem-solving, collaborating cross-functionally, and driving data-driven results. This person will also be expert at relationship building and executive-level influence: open, tenacious, curious, and a champion for this program of work.
Required Skills:
Develop and lead the social content and channel strategy for the Facebook Company brand in partnership with internal creative teams, outside agencies and cross-functional partners
Lead and motivate team members in developing creative work for social channels
Partner with Brand Strategy, Insights, Analytics, Communications and Media teams to ensure that all work is grounded in community understanding, data and insights and structured to deliver data-driven results
Lead measurement plan to ensure that the content strategy is evaluated correctly and demonstrates business value
Be the champion of our audience: ensure that the editorial agenda serves both company needs and audience needs
Build exposure, both on-platform and off, by leveraging relationships with cross-functional teams to further the reach and fame of our content
Analysis of cultural, community, media and market trends to inform strategic and creative development for content
Drive our approach for moderation working with external partners, specifically tonal guidelines, response framework and measurement
Minimum Qualifications:
15 or more years of experience with digital marketing, content marketing, or editorial
Experience working with consumer-facing global brands
Experience building, inspiring, and leading teams and managing individual career growth
Experience with multi-channel communications planning, using data to identify insights and build strategies for social content
Experience developing and executing creative, innovative, integrated social and content marketing
Experience presenting to executive leadership and promoting the importance of the social marketing discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
International experience
Analytical and data-driven experience
Demonstrated success in a self-starter, fast-paced and changing environment
Demonstrated creativity, with effective communication skills to bring ideas to a broad audience
Experience with quick-turn/rapid-response communications
Experience collaborating within dynamic and matrixed organizations
Demonstrated enthusiasm for Facebook’s mission and values
