Description

Job title:: Data Governance Technical Program Lead

Location: New York, NY, San Diego, CA, or San Francisco, CA

General Data Governance Responsibilities

  • Support leadership to Develop, implement, communicate and maintain a Data Governance strategy

  • Support DG team in the documenting reviews of data changes, monitoring and reporting of effectiveness and compliance of data handling in the organization

  • Support DG team with analysis, data manipulation from data discovery

Area of Focus Responsibilities

  • Vision : Understand Data Governance Strategic focus areas and tactical plan and identify Tooling and Automation needs.

  • Backlog Management : Build and maintain an effective and groomed backlog providing clear requirements for new initiatives and enhancements

  • Feature Prioritization : Create User Stories, Epics with prioritized features and corresponding Business Value

  • Solution Design : Design optimal solutions for problems and tactical goals using technical and business insights.

  • Execution : Collaborate closely with Legal/Privacy, Compliance, Security and Engineering teams to execute on the vision.

  • Analysis : Identify appropriate data sets within available information and perform analysis for data-driven decisions and prioritization.

Key Areas Required for Success

  • Experience with ServiceNow platform – preferably holding certifications

  • Have technical experience in the fields of science, applied mathematics, engineering, or computer science.

  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving skills

  • Excellent planning & organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple, concurrent areas of responsibility

  • Ability to work with little direction independently; but not afraid to ask for help

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or master’s in Computer Science or related disciplines

  • Minimum 1-2 years prior experience in ServiceNow platform

  • 3-5+ years’ experience with data analysis, reporting, trending, data manipulation

  • Passion for Data Governance and prioritizes ‘Doing the right thing with data’.

  • Experience in delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall etc.

  • Desire to own decisions and take responsibility and drive for outcomes

  • Enjoys balance of interaction with people and analysis

  • Experience with fast moving / high growth organizations

  • Works well with diverse work styles and personalities

  • Stellar interpersonal / communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in Software Development Industry

  • Security/Privacy certifications

  • Knowledgeable in industry best practice for data management compliance

  • Experience leading Data Governance/Data Management programs
