JOB SUMMARY:

EY Financial Services is a unique, industry-focused business unit that provides a broad range of integrated services that leverage deep industry experience with strong functional capability and product knowledge. The Digital Enterprise Transformation (DET) practice works with clients to analyze, formulate, design, mobilize and drive digital transformation initiatives. We advise clients on their most pressing strategic challenges and opportunities surround business strategy, enterprise architecture, IT operations, infrastructure, technology strategy, and digital transformation. We also have a unique ability to help our clients translate strategy into actionable technical design, and transformation planning/mobilization. Through our unique combination of competencies and solutions, EY’s Financial Services DET team helps our clients sustain competitive advantage and profitability by developing strategies to stay ahead of the rapid pace of change and disruption and supporting the execution of complex transformations.

Within DET, our Business Architecture competency works collaboratively with our clients to conduct complex, strategic analyses of clients IT organizations, current and target operating models, enterprise capabilities, business process design, and process modernization. The team supports our clients in organizing information on problems or procedures, analyzing data gathered and developing solutions or alternative methods of proceeding. We develop a structured view of the operational interactions between the application and infrastructure components and build a roadmap of the future state. The team uses IT operational models to guide design decision making and facilitate the long-term achievement of the strategic vision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

We currently are seeking a highly motivated Senior to deliver professional services support business development activities on strategic and global priority accounts, and contribute to DET practice development activities. This professional will be responsible for leading workstreams and supporting client engagements by delivering high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget. Seniors are expected to monitor progress, manage risk and ensure that key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Seniors should manage expectations of client service delivery, maintain and develop their technical skills sets, stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the clients business and foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment by actively counseling and mentoring junior consultants within the organization. They are expected to understand Ernst & Young and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients, develop and maintain long-term relationships with the client and the team members across all EY practices.

QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATIONS, EDUCATION:

To qualify, candidates must have:

  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management, Accounting, Finance or a related field.

  • A minimum of 2 years of post-bachelors work experience (or 1 year for Master’s degree); at least one (1) year of which must be relevant work experience at a financial services company or comparable experience working as a consultant in a professional services firm delivering advisory services

  • Work in conjunction with Enterprise Architecture resources, IT and Business Leadership to propose and set line of business as well as Enterprise wide architecture direction

  • Demonstrated executive presence and strong communications, facilitation and presentation skills

  • Experience on projects developing detailed, compelling and analytical PowerPoint / Excel / Word / Visio deliverables to various stakeholders

  • Ability to conduct and lead project work, informing leadership of project status and managing staff performance

  • Excellent team collaboration and teaming skills

  • Broad knowledge of the IT function and how IT enables the business through effective strategic planning, governance and management discipline

  • Ability to quickly assimilate to new knowledge and to remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.

The Candidate must have the ability to travel in accordance with client and other job requirements. This travel can be as much as 80% to 100% of a work week. Travel may be international.

Differentiators

The following are preferred, but not required:

  • A Master’s degree

  • Experience working in the financial services industry

  • Experience in the professional services industry

  • Speaking at industry conferences, round tables, and other public forums

  • Authoring articles and white papers

  • Experience working with IT leadership (e.g., CIO, IT Director) and business leadership (e.g., CFO, COO, BU leader, etc.) to help shape and guide the IT strategic and improvement agenda

  • Demonstrated capability to drive sales and bring a network of client relationships to the firm

  • Knowledge of standard IT methodologies and management processes based on frameworks such as CMMI, COBIT, ITIL, Six Sigma, ISO 2700x, TOGAF, project management life cycles, systems development life cycles, PMBOK, Prince2, or data center operations.

  • Relevant industry certification (e.g., TOGAF, CISSP, CISM, CISA, CBCP, ITIL, PMP or other specialized IT certifications)

  • Experience working with IT leadership (e.g., CIO, IT Director) and business leadership (e.g., CFO, COO, BU leader, etc.) to help shape and guide the IT strategic and improvement agenda
