Works for the development and coordination of the peer education program within established program guidelines. Will work with peer educators to create outreach and education opportunities throughout the entire service area, developing and providing public education, awareness and active outreach in target populations.
Oversees the overall implementation of the peer education grant; work closely with peer educators in the coordination and development of outreach and peer led initiatives.
Prepares and submits required reports as needed.
Promotes appropriate health information within the community by identifying key community leaders and organizations, as well as other community characteristics, to be able to find and engage target population.
Provides assistance and guidance to peer educators on work plan goals and objectives; provides orientation and training for peer educators as needed.
Identifies community service resources; build and maintain strong relationships with networks of community resources.
Participates in required training- including but not limited to trips to Albany.
Performs related duties as required.
