Eaton Corporation Product Line Manager and Marketing (Components) in Napoles, Mexico

Eaton’s AMER division is currently seeking a Product Line Manager and Marketing - Components to join our team. This position is based at our CDMX Office.

The PLM Comp. & Mktg is responsible for the development, implementation and execution of the component’s portfolio including the financial strategy, product development and marketing programs to drive profitable sales and margin growth for products in Electrical Power Distribution applications.

Some activities related with the position will be:

  • Provide Manage virtual P&L for components product portfolio to exceed financial commitments.

  • Recommend, develop and pursue long term growth strategy and objectives for the power distribution products.

  • Identify and recommend new products for development and/or private branding.

  • Implement and effectively coordinate the product development process to insure timing of product introduction and acceptance in the market.

  • Recommend and initiate changes in current products and pricing necessary to maintain and increase sales and profits in accordance with corporate goals and policy.

  • Maintain current and required knowledge of the marketplace to be thoroughly appraised of all new or modified product opportunities as well as developments that may impact products or ability to sell them.

  • Evaluate product success in the marketplace through internal reports and direct contacts with field sales, customers and distributors. Recommend adjustments to marketing and sales efforts when and where necessary.

  • Plan and determine product pricing policy consistent to obtain optimum volume and market position.

  • Recommend and develop marketing strategies and programs along with promotional materials to increase market share of existing products.

  • Analyze competitors' actions, product developments, pricing strategy, product policies, and activities. Prepare and publish appropriate details for use by Field Sales.

  • Prepare pricing and proposals for special products within assigned product families, as requested, by special products, pricing and proposals administrator.

  • Resolve product inconsistencies arising from manufacturing and engineering inquiries, changes in vendor supplies, and customer complaints.

  • Meet any other activity assigned by your supervisor or special requirements of the company.

  • Active participation in Continues Improvements programs and committees and ERG and iERG's.

  • Comply the Eaton Business System (EBS), in foundations, Planning, Growth, Functional Excellence, Assessment and Learning, mainly in the Eaton Business Excellence (EBE); ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 and its tools (such as: Eaton Quality System (EQS), Eaton Lean System and Six Sigma-ELS, HR Standar Work and Employee Survey.

  • Know and comply the Policies: Global Ethics, Values and Philosophy, Management Environmental Safety and Security and Health (MESH).

  • MESH compliance and follow up of policies and goals.

  • Firmly follow Eaton's leadership model as well as adopt leadership attributes (Ethics, Passion, Learning, Responsibility, Efficiency and transparency).

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electromechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution required.

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years prior sales/marketing/product management experience, preferably with a manufacturer in electrical industry; or related product and manufacturing.

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical distribution product lines, product engineering technologies, marketing and sales channels, marketing strategies, finance and manufacturing operations.

  • Ability to determine long-range product requirements and market needs for product lines and to successfully implement new product designs and marketing strategies.

  • Ability to constantly and accurately analyze the competition to determine strategies, competitor cost profiles, market strategies, and product development trends and to develop successful company response strategies.

  • Must have advance level verbal and written English skills required.

  • Proficiency in computer skills Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, 365).
