Job Description
:
Provideapplied engineering and technical consultation for customers in the areas ofpower systems studies, power quality analysis, installation, startup,maintenance, repair, and training. Self-management of assigned projects and jobcost accountability to perform work within budgeted cost estimates. Interpretspecifications and customer inquiries, and design technical proposals andpricing for customers. Provide technical solutions to customers that mayinvolve equipment design or upgrades, testing of equipment, and solutionsrelating to increase safety, reliability, or efficiency. Perform short-circuit,coordination, and arc-flash analyses for LV and MV applications. Perform fieldPower Quality Measurements and Harmonic Analysis. Design electrical distributionsystems including load flow, voltage drop, power factor, fault, and groundinganalyses. Deliver arc-flash safety trainings and other technical presentationsto external stakeholders. Serve as the technical liaison between internal andexternal stakeholders in the topics of power system design and analysis. MentorJunior Engineers on power system studies. Ability to complete medium-sizedpower system studies and projects unassisted and within budget.
Position is fixed location based in El Paso office; however,telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed. 15% domestic travel forbusiness meetings, trainings, and field engineering work.
Job Requirements
:
Requires a Bachelors degree inElectrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or a directly relatedfield plus three (3) years of experience in an electrical engineering role.
Must have three (3) years ofexperience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

Electrical industry

Performing field Power Quality Measurements

Performing Harmonic Analysis

Designing Electrical Distribution SystemDesign, including modeling and mathematical calculations for load flow, voltagedrop, power factor, fault, and grounding analyses
