The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleAs a Supply Chain Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Work closely with business units, division supply chain to understand customer requirements and forecasts

  • Plan, schedule production work center, monitor work center output to meet customer requirements and improve work center operational efficiency

  • Communicate daily with Production, Engineering, Quality, Management and logistic on supply chain related topics (Backorders, OTIF, Customer Orders and Inventory)

  • Procure raw material and communicate to suppliers on future requirements to support production plan.

  • Identify improvement opportunities and lead lean six sigma green belt projects to improve supply chain speed, efficiency, and inventory investment

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering and/or Business Administration (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Two (2) combined years of experience in Sourcing, Operations, Logistics, Procurement and Production Planning, and/or Supply Chain in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Seven (7) combined years of experience in Sourcing, Operations, Logistics, Procurement and Production Planning, and/or Supply Chain in a private, public, government or military environment

  • Minimum of two (2) years of Experience leading cross functional teams

  • Strong systems background, including ERP / SAP/i2 Factory Planner/i2 Supply Chain Planner

  • APICS Certification or willingness to obtain

  • Lean Six Sigma experience, Green-belt certified preferred

  • Strong analytical skills, able to perform data analysis with mass data sets

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills

Travel: May include up to 5% Domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
