Job Title: 2nd Shift Electrician
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced 2nd Shift Electrician to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. This role requires working independently and troubleshooting electrical issues in a timely and safe manner.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $30.00/hour (DOE - Depending on Experience)
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, control systems, and equipment.
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
Diagnose electrical problems and malfunctions, using testing devices such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters.
Replace faulty wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical components.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
Collaborate with other maintenance team members to complete assigned tasks.
Maintain a safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
Assist in emergency repairs and be available for on-call support when required.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an electrician in an industrial or commercial setting.
Licensed electrician (preferred but not required, depending on state regulations).
Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations.
Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
Experience with various tools and equipment such as wire strippers, voltmeters, and power tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Formal electrical training or apprenticeship.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an electrician role.
