The Synergy Company Vice President of Operations in Moab, Utah

Reporting into the President, the Vice President of Operations will be a part of the executive leadership team and hold responsibility for manufacturing, production, supply chain, demand planning, fulfillment, quality, logistics/distribution, and procurement operations. Our ideal candidate is a dynamic, hands on leader who will have led operations for a growing B2C organization using LEAN manufacturing principles with experience in a production environment, leading fulfillment operations, and proven experience optimizing systems.


  • Leading expansion and optimization initiatives as well as improving the company?s logistics program as the organization accelerates both domestic and international growth.

  • Facilitating learning experiences that lead to implementing and monitoring process improvements that drive product quality, safety, and cost savings.

  • Ensuring that efficient operations deliver strong customer value while maintaining reasonable inventory levels that achieve company objectives.

  • Coaching and mentoring operations directors and facilitating an environment where employees at all levels are mentored and given an opportunity to grow.

  • Leading and making positive use of Gemba observations and participation.

  • Developing actionable business strategies that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.

  • Overseeing operations budgets, including each departmental budget and capital improvement budgets.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor?s Degree and 10+ years? experience leading supply chain/operations programs

  • Prior experience within the consumer goods industry and proven ability meeting the demands of the direct-to-consumer customer

  • LEAN/SixSigma or similar training and experience with the ability to implement through coaching, mentoring, and role modeling

  • Understanding of what it means to use business as a force for good in our world

  • Broad experience in operations; manufacturing processes & systems improvement, quality systems, supply chain management, demand planning, inventory control, and logistics

  • Prior experience in manufacturing, project management, and operations/plant expansion

  • Strong business acumen with both strategic skills and the ability to both communicate and execute effectively

  • Technology proficient including optimizing business systems
